Schwan’s Home Service presents the Minnesota Wild

Schwan's Home Service coordinated
intermission activities between periods at a
recent Minnesota Wild hockey game.
April 4, 2017 — If you were at or were watching a recent Wild hockey game, chances are you may have seen our Schwan’s Home Service team on full display. At the Minnesota Wild game versus the Vancouver Canucks on March 25, it was “Schwan’s Presenting Day” at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Activities for the day included Schwan’s® ice cream for lucky game-goers and on-ice promotional activities for all the fans to see.

As fans entered the Xcel Energy Center at the start of the game, they were each given a slip that revealed a Twitter contest and a 10 percent off coupon for their next online Schwan’s® home-delivery purchase.

Schwan’s Home Service’s Social Media Manager Courtney Beyer said the Twitter contest was a “tweet-to-win” format. Each individual who tweeted their favorite Schwan’s®food using #SchwansLove had a chance to win a Schwan’s®Ice Cream Party with an appearance by Nordy, the Minnesota Wild team mascot.

There were also two intermission activities coordinated between periods.

During the first intermission of the game, a local route sales rep drove a Schwan’s® delivery truck onto the ice to help generate excitement for the in-arena contest. Two game attendees were selected to participate in a photo game where tiles of pre-selected products were shown on the screen and whoever was first to guess the product shown, for example “shrimp,” would win that round.

The person with the most correct answers won and was able to select one of the six doors of the delivery truck for their prize. The winner selected a door that had two tickets for a Wild hockey game. The “loser” of the game was still awarded with a $50 Schwan’s Home Service gift card for participating.

During the third period of the game, Schwan’s® Ice Cream Sandwiches were dispersed to attendees in two sections of the Xcel Energy Center.

Thank you to all who attended and participated!
