Food Service team attends WFF Annual Leadership Conference

March 24, 2022 — We recently sent a small group of employees from Schwan’s Food Service, Inc.  to the Women’s Foodservice Forum’s  (WFF) Annual Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, where they networked with industry colleagues and learned about personal and professional development.

“It was an honor to serve as the WFF Ambassador on behalf of our Food Service team,” said Leslie Napolitano, senior director of sales. “This year’s leadership conference had a high focus on diversity, equality and inclusion  as well as creating authentic-leadership realities in one’s work space. Our team members took full advantage to learn, connect and network on behalf of Schwan’s. Currently, we have 66 WFF members that have access to monthly professional workshops and connects as well as online content available on demand.”

The Annual Leadership Conference connects like-minded leaders in the food-service industry to ignite the conversation on what it takes to be a modern professional offline and online. The event is meant to provide inspiration that moves participants to action through professional development, awe-inspiring storytelling and creating authentic connections with other attendees. Participants this year could choose to attend in-person or virtually.

Keynote speakers at this year’s event included:

  • Allyson Felix, who is the most decorated American Track and Field athlete of all time and founder of Saysh.com.
  • Laura Ling, who is an award-winning journalist and author.
  • Kindra Hall, who is a MA Wall Street Journal best-selling author and award-winning storyteller.
  • Glennon Doyle, who is a two-time No. 1 New York Times Bestselling Author, activist, and the founder and president of Together Rising.

Attendees from Schwan’s Food Service at this year’s event included Leslie, Marta Leach, Kelly Price, Irena Osovsky, Mary Beth Bartko, Melinda Gerlach, Lisa McCarty, Lauren Wolfe and Ben Lim.
