Congratulations to the 2017 ‘Hockey Mom of the Year’

Kelly Colbjornsen from the Osseo/Maple Grove area in
Minnesota won the title of Schwan’s Hockey Mom of the Year.
April 20, 2017 — To all the moms out there — especially the hockey moms — we thank you for all that you do!

Our Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom Hall of Fame program recently recognized finalists and announced the 2017 Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Year during the last regular season home game for the Minnesota Wild. In true “hockey mom” fashion, finalists for the award were treated to a night of hockey at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Kelly Colbjornsen from the Osseo/Maple Grove area in Minnesota won the title of Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Year. She received a special Minnesota Wild “Hockey Mom” jersey and a $250 gift card for Schwan’s Home Service.

Kelly and five other “Hockey Mom of the Month” winners from earlier in the season were all brought on to the ice for a simple-skills challenge. The person who could pass the puck from the goal line and land it closest to center ice was the winner of the title “Hockey Mom of the Year.”

To be eligible for the Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom Hall of Fame program, the hockey moms needed to register at www.wild.com/hockeymom. At each Wild home game, a Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Game was randomly selected by the Minnesota Wild’s promotions team. All of the game winners were then put into a drawing to be selected as the Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Month. At the end of the regular season, all of the Hockey Moms of the Month were brought back and the Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Year was chosen.
