Michelson discusses her 35 years of making ice cream
"Schwan's People You Need to Know" is an ongoing series of stories that share some of our employees' experiences as we celebrate our 65th anniversary and participate as a founding partner of the Minnesota Super Bowl 52 Host Committee.Feb. 22, 2018 — In this video installment of our “Schwan's People You Need to Know” series, Maintainer/Operator Michelle Michelson talks about how much she enjoys making ice cream treats for Schwan’s customers.
“I like what I do. I want to make sure that I can get the best product out for the customers,” Michelle said. “I get to make ice cream. I get to make a quality product that people can consume and enjoy. Everybody loves to eat ice cream.”
Michelle joined Schwan’s nearly 35 years ago, working nights at the ice cream plant in Marshall, Minnesota. She began with the company right after high school, and today she runs the equipment used to make Schwan’s® ice cream novelties.
She said one of her fondest memories was receiving the Marvin Schwan Excellence Award two years ago, which is the company’s most prestigious honor.
