“Through our partnership with the Minnesota Wild, we were approached with this opportunity to support the advancement of opportunities for female athletes, which aligns perfectly with our company values,” said Heather Malakowsky, sponsorship, events and public relations manager. “We have a long history of promoting youth education and athletics, as well as supporting exceptional efforts to provide crucial services that advance stronger, healthier communities, and we couldn’t be prouder to have the opportunity to support this program.”
Heather added that programs like these are important and can help get more youth interested and involved in team sports. It’s in these sports where they learn valuable lessons that help them build the foundation for becoming leaders within the community.
Throughout the weekend, more than 200 girls hockey players, ages 8 through 12, participated in dryland training sessions, on-ice clinics, Red Baron pizza parties and received a ticket to attend an upcoming Minnesota Wild game.
It was a fun even to be a part of — especially in the state of hockey!
