Jan. 28, 2016 — It’s the beginning of a very exciting time for The Schwan Food Company. We recently announced our efforts to bring together talented top chefs from across the country to collaborate with our own internal culinary team. Members of our Schwan’s Chef Collective will scout emerging ingredients, cooking methods and global cuisines to continually influence the innovation of Schwan foods.
Naturally, when we began forming this group, we had to find a way to break the ice. We started the journey with a Taste Tour where our inaugural team could be immersed into the up-and-coming food scene of the Twin Cities metro area — our backyard.
Visiting 14 restaurants in just 48 hours, the Taste Tour sparked conversations about food trends and flavor combinations among the group of chefs. More importantly, the tour served as a starting point for where this flavorful journey will lead us.
