Aug. 27, 2018 — Our team with Schwan’s Food Service, Inc. recently attended the National Association of College & University Food Services’ (NACUFS) National Conference in Rhode Island where they showcased several of our foods with campus dining staff from across the country.
“For the first time we had a chance to also showcase our new Better Baked Foods™ Breakfast Bagels along with our Drayton Pizza Dough Balls,” said Bob Lathrop, senior director of sales for Food Service. “Both were a big hit and will have a future place in campus dining.”
NACUFS has a membership of 550 college and university food service operators. The group’s mission is to promote the highest quality of food service on campus by providing educational and training opportunities, technical assistance, scholarships, industry information, and research.
At the booth this year, our team featured Thai Coconut and Potsticker Rice Bowls made with Minh® potstickers as well as pizza recipes and applications made with Villa Prima® pizza crust and Drayton dough balls. Edwards® co-branded cookie and candy pies were also included.
In addition to product features, the team also sponsored the NACUFS Regional Breakfast and showcased its Minh Breakfast Egg Rolls and Breakfast Pizza made with Villa Prima pizza crust.
Bob added that operators were excited to see the variety of Schwan’s products and how they can be used in different applications across their campuses.
