May 1, 2020 — We are thrilled to share that Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank in Kansas recently received its first shipment of food and supplies purchased with a portion of its $25,000 grant from Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation. The food bank received six pallets of food that can be used for immediate distribution to community members in need.
The $25,000 grant from Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation was given to Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank in April as many food shelves and food banks across the country are facing unprecedented demand of community members due to the COVID-19 crisis.
This Salina-based nonprofit serves people in need by giving food to the hungry and by helping with emergency needs for rent, utilities, medicine, dental care and transportation.
