Employees organized food donations at the
Kitchen Table Food Shelf in Marshall, Minn.
Feb. 16, 2016 — Employees in Marshall, Minn., rallied together recently participating in a one-day collection for the local Kitchen Table Food Shelf. Employees donated a total of 480 pounds of food, which will provide 369 meals. A total of $1,216.75 was also raised, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation, bringing the total amount raised to $2,433.50.

“It is common for non-profit and charitable organizations to receive tremendous support during the holidays because people are in the giving spirit, but unfortunately the support often falters once the holidays are done,” Community Relations Manager Theresa Zaske said. “I am thrilled we were able to kick off our community efforts this year at such a high caliber.”

Additional donations collected include 45 cases of Fruchi® smoothies, coupons for Bon Appétit™ pizza and 60 backpacks from the Schwan’s USA CUP® soccer tournament.

Following the collection period, employees spent an afternoon at the Kitchen Table Food Shelf organizing the items donated by the company and employees.
