Salina team presents grants to local organizations

Our team in Salina, Kansas, presented a
$25,000 grant to the Salina Area United Way. 
Jan. 24, 2017 — Our team in Salina, Kansas, recently presented grants to the Salina Area United Way and the Salina Emergency Aid/Food Bank. The grants, which came from the Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation, were made in honor of our team members working in Salina.

The Salina Area United Way, which covers 10 counties in the Salina area, received
a grant of $25,000. The money will support the organization’s annual campaign.

The Salina Emergency Aid/Food Bank received a grant of $10,000. The money will be used to support the organization’s effort, which include giving food to the hungry and helping with emergency needs for rent, utilities, medicine, dental care and transportation.

Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is focused on efforts to end hunger, promote youth education and leadership development and provide essential services that advance the health of the communities where The Schwan Food Company’s employees live and work. The foundation is headquartered in Marshall, Minnesota.
