June 22, 2017 — Supporting youth and community, Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation recently donated $10,000 to the Marshall Area YMCA for its annual campaign. The funds will help support the YMCA in providing scholarships to individuals and families in the area who could not otherwise afford a membership to use its facilities.

Each year the Marshall Area YMCA in Minnesota hosts a campaign to raise funds to assist youth, adults and families in the Marshall area to learn, grow and thrive at the “Y.” All donations stay, and are used, at the Marshall Area YMCA for scholarships for membership, afterschool programs and summer-camp fees. All of the scholarship funding is raised locally during the YMCA’s “Annual Community Support Campaign.”

Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation has had a long-standing charitable partnership with the Marshall Area YMCA. In 2000, our company and the foundation played an important role in the construction of the current facility.

Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization focused on efforts to end hunger, promote youth education and leadership development, and provide essential services that advance the health of the communities where our employees live and work. The foundation is headquartered in Marshall, Minnesota.
