Henderson
Nov. 27, 2017 — When Jared Henderson joined Schwan’s 14 years ago, he had no idea it would lead to a long-term career.

“I joined Schwan’s right out of grad school. I was a little hesitant to move from Atlanta, Georgia, to Salina, Kansas, so I decided that I would work there for two years, get experience and then move on,” Jared said. “The problem with my plan was that I never thought I would love the job and the people I worked with so much.”

Because he enjoyed his job, Jared’s two-year plan didn’t work out, and he spent 12 years at Schwan’s pizza facility in Kansas. He then accepted a role as K-12 product development manager for the company’s product innovation and development team and transferred to the corporate office in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Recently, Jared took some time to tell us about the importance of his job, his team and the talents of his youth.
