Patti Gramentz from New Ulm, Minnesota, was named the 2018 Schwan’s™ Hockey Mom of the Year at the Minnesota Wild's
last regular season home game. |
After the announcement, Gramentz was received a special Minnesota Wild “Hockey Mom” jersey and a gift card for Schwan’s Home Service.
Gramentz and five other “Hockey Mom of the Month” winners from earlier in the season attended a Wild game in the Schwan’s Company suite at the Xcel Energy Center. During the second intermission, they were brought on to the ice for a simple skills challenge. The person who could pass the puck from the goal line and land it closest to center ice was the winner of the title “Hockey Mom of the Year.”
To be eligible for the Schwan’s Hockey Mom Hall of Fame program, the hockey moms needed to register at www.wild.com/hockeymom. At each Wild home game, a Schwan’s Hockey Mom of the Game was randomly selected by the Minnesota Wild’s promotions team. All of the game winners were then put into a drawing to be selected as the Schwan’s Hockey Mom of the Month. At the end of the regular season, all of the Hockey Moms of the Month were brought back and the Schwan’s Hockey Mom of the Year was chosen.
This was the fifth year sponsoring the event program during the Minnesota Wild hockey season.
