The Charlie Awards are the Twin Cities area’s “Academy Awards” of the food-service community. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and excellence of the Twin Cities restaurant community. Winners will be announced and honored at the eighth annual Charlie Awards on Jan. 27 at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
According to the Charlie Awards, the Outstanding Baker/Pastry Chef category recognizes a working baker or pastry chef with at least five years of experience who is an artist creating masterpieces of desserts and morning pastries.
Others nominated in the category include Carrie Riggs from Alma and Diane Moua from Soigné Hospitality (Spoon and Stable and Bellecour).
