Celebrating Schwan’s Youth Soccer Club of the Match

The Lakeville U11 Steele club  was recently named the Schwan's
Youth Soccer Club of the Match at a Minnesota United Football Club match.

June 14, 2018 — In partnership with the Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), our company recently celebrated the most recent “Schwan’s Youth Soccer Club of the Match” — the Lakeville U11 Steele. The team was recognized at a MNUFC match and got a pre-match party with Schwan’s pizza.

The “Schwan’s Youth Soccer Club of the Match” program began in 2017, when we announced a partnership with the MNUFC. The program celebrates Minnesota-based youth soccer teams that are leaders in volunteerism and their community.

To participate, youth soccer teams throughout Minnesota can submit an application on why their team deserves to be honored. Selected recipients will then be honored at a future MNUFC home match.

The program started accepting applications in the summer of 2017 and will continue to do so through the 2018 season. Applications are reviewed and evaluated based on a team’s positive contributions to their community, including team volunteering, donation drives and overall community service. A total of six teams will be chosen over the course of the partnership and each will receive in-stadium recognition, access to view warm-ups from the pitch and a pre-match pizza party courtesy of Schwan’s.
