March 4, 2019 — We are sending our congratulations to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Kathy Persian, who was recently named a finalist for the 2019 Twin Cities CIO of the Year ORBIE Award in the Large Enterprise category. As a finalist, Kathy will be recognized at the Finalist Reception & Executive Dinner on March 14, at the Minneapolis Club and honored at the Twin Cities CIO of the Year Awards Breakfast on April 26 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
In December, it was announced that Kathy had received two nominations for the award — one submitted by a past colleague and one submitted by past employees. In total, the Twin Cities CIO Leadership Association reported they received more than 140 nominations.
The awards program is the premier technology executive recognition program of its kind and recognizes chief information officers and those in equivalent senior IT leadership positions who have demonstrated excellence in technology leaders. This is the second year the Twin Cities has participated in the program. However, the CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards program is 20 years old. It started in Georgia and has since expanded into other regions at the request of CIOs.
